knob would be a work shaft 6 mm in a fender start?
well i have a spare remote that fits into a slot of 6 mm and wanted to know if it works Fender initially
Hello! Yes, the knob 6mm shaft fits into a standard potentiometer Fender Stratocaster, however, have stated the "rule" let me offer some caveats. A potentiometer with a 1/4-inch solid axle (used in many Gibsons, for example) require a 6 mm knob slightly drilling large to fit properly, and the need for a Set Screw to secure the knob in place. In the case of the defenses, usually using a potentiometer shaft broken thumb (for the thrust control designs), which measures slightly smaller than 1/4-inch (after machining). To compensate for the 6 mm (0.24 inches) size mismatch, which would add a small piece of paper or tape around the shaft, allowing a perfect fit. If the control is ensured by an adjustment screw, be sure to tighten the screw into the opening in the center of the shaft, otherwise you break the shaft side (requires replacement of the entire pot). An even better approach is to place a wedge to support small (wooden or plastic) in the center of the shaft, thus, the axis is not crushed, no matter where apply the screw.
