Do I have to change the pickups on my guitar?
Hi, so I have this Fender American Standard Start HSS, and the humbucker is really good for a rock harder than most humbuckers are but a short time, my musical tastes have changed so quiet blues. I get the Fender Scn Samarium Cobalt that is standard on the Deluxe America before 2010 where is replaced with omega 3. The thing is, if the changes, which may decrease the resale value if I decide to resell a day (do not know if I want, because although it is my first High End guitar.) In remarks that its a HSS, I have to get another striker SSS, as well as pills plus labor to get the store to do so. Not really, "I do it myself because I love my guitar and I'm not very experienced. (I'm still only a teenager.) I have the money definitely and more of my summer job, but again, the resale value. What do you think I should do? (Do not say something like "Saving for College" I have covered please!)
You're getting too hung up on the pills. The young players who are going to be a magical combination gearbox or pedal that will radically change your sound. None. Choose whatever you like guitarist Steve Vai with Eric Clapton Willie Nelson ... any part of them just about any instrument and still be able to recognize your game - because it's your time, feel, attack, etc, not your computer. When one reads articles rig lengths on an artist that needs to be 'too' - is because those guys are so advanced that small differences in its implementation means a lot for them. Put your energy into the development of his style and I appreciate it. - To the guitar when I was your age I also played with all my lines - I think every player Young does. That's fine - but here are a few tips. 1) Keep all parts of taking off until the screws. The best place is where, in a plastic bag so you never lose them and they are all there when the trade or sale. 2) Instead of changing pickups, if the humbucker is 4-wire (I think it is) ... can only dividing at having a Single Coil in the bridge at any time. You can also connect a 2 position switch so it's out of phase as a "regular" start "to get you" quack "Changing the Volume Control with push-pull (in the humbucker - out for a single coil). and you do not have to drill holes new holes. I used to do this with all my guitars Gibson of 2 humbucker. Put in 4 wire-Buckers h and placed so that I could have any combination of humbucker and single coil ... in or out of phase. It's good to have a Les Paul or SG who suddenly can do it perfectly "home" impression of one. There are all kinds of free online wiring diagrams that show you how to make these changes and even tell you what you need to buy spare parts -. Make friends with the best coach in the city he / She will be working in the music store where all the 'pro' players in your area hang out and have your work done. Someone like that has probably made this mod and can do 100 times in his sleep. Good luck
