What kind of guitar was used on the faces of "Stay With Me" and the Stones "Can not You Hear Me Knockin '?"
This unique guitar sound was common during the 1960s and 1970s, very late very early. I would describe as a thick fuzzy guitar rhythm sound. I have curious if it was a Fender Start or a Les Paul with a fuzz box that made the big fat sound. Faces guitarist, Ronnie Wood, used this sound for choirs Rod Stewart faces many of the successes as well as some solo stuff too early Rod. Songs like "Stay With Me" and "Twistin 'The Night Away. "Keith Richards also played with this sound on songs like" Can not You Hear Me Knockin. "And do not forget version Grand Funk of "The Locomotion". The real sound is a thick, buzzing guitar rhythm. Now if only I can get someone to tell me what is the model of guitar was used primarily to produce that sound cool in early 1970. This was rock and roll at its best!
