Cypress or rosewood back and sides with an Acoustic Guitar?
I'm soon going to buy my first Classical Guitar and the particular model that I'm looking at has three options: Solid Cedar Top with Rosewood back and sides with Solid Spruce top Rosewood back and sides, solid Spruce Top with Cypress back and I think I'll side to the brighter sound spruce, but now have no clue as to the differences between Cypress and Rosewood back and sides. Unfortunately I do not really any premises to treat these so am hoping some other peoples opinions and knowledge.
I've always preferred just rosewood its beautiful nature. Not sure about your sound, but a spruce top and a rosewood body is a guitar that Sounds Great. I would vote for the solid spruce with rosewood.
