If you were to use a single line of a song and recorded by an artist in his own work, and plan to record and release it, would this be plagiarism?
It depends on how well you know the band, and it depends if it's for the same tune, that it would be. Lyrics Squatt say in a song, there are thousands of variables that are available to modify in order to get a song or something completely different from the song lyric stolen.
