Can anyone help me with my problem of guitar sound loud?
I play mostly heavy music, Tool, Deftones, Helmet, Alice in chains, etc. When playing with my thunderous drums are muted notes, but when you want it to sound volume and the "impact" just drop out. Strong, but lost his 'balls' I want the lines of silence to not be so overwhelming. Some Examples would song My Own Summer Deftones or Tool Undertow. I tried to roll the bottom of my amp and turn down the volume on my guitar by touching the lines of silence. I have a late 80 (?) Charvel mopdel 4 with pills active and a half drive circuit. Could this be the problem? Am I driving the preamp too hard with this guitar, even when the volume is dropping? A compressor / limiter for help? Thanks
Active pills could be the problem. Unsure about his tone, but I've never heard of active pills I like. Try to roll some middle range of the amplifier and give you some more and low Treb. If that fails, look at the distortion. Is it a pedal or amplifier? Many distortion pedals faithfully cheaper not boost the attack and the response of the guitars, but again, not sure about active pups. Try a guitar different view.
