Isn't my Sata drive is recognized in bios or windows to boot an IDE DVDRW as slave on the IDE?
I have everything brand new at the base, but I wanted my old system I've carried out a repair and everything is fine and working .. but my Samsung 500GB S-ATA not recognized or is even ...
This may be one of a few things. A: The SATA power cable or not connected or not connected properly. Check them and make sure they are well established in the drive and the motherboard. B: The Sata cable is not connected to the lower number SATA port on the motherboard. Place (SATA0 usually, if not 0 Sata the SATA1 or A C or whatever) your BIOS is configured correctly. Go to your bios and (if you did not have to make severe changes to your configuration to work) to restore the defaults. Then restart the computer. Go back into the BIOS and see if it is recognized. If not, consult the manual to see if there is a specific procedure used to activate Sata the BIOS. Once you have the drive and active in the BIOS, Windows will automatically detect it. If not, use the link for New Hardware Control Panel. Once are, if not already done so, you must initialize the disk for the windows to view and format.
