Sigma Anniversary Guitar Made in Japan?
I have been researching but can not find much information on my Sigma guitar Anniversar. I belive it was built in 1980. If what I found is correct only had 100. It was a gift and I am confident in its value. It is in Excellent Shape. If anyone has any information it would be very appreciated.
Yes it is. Product: Sigma Sigma This anniversary is a 1980 Model 10 Anniversary Edition Made in Japan. It has 20 frets with a Solid Spruce top, which is heavily Shell clawed.The carry back and sides are solid guard mahogany.The selection and binding are tortoise body and the finish is bright nitro cellulose lacquer on the fingerboard and bridge are all.The rosewood. My understanding is that there were only 100 of these sigmas Edetion Anniversary D18 style made to commemorate the end Solid Wood Japanese line. It has diamond and square Fret Markers and bridge with pearl head decoration style Martin logo and the word "Anniversary" embedded in the previous fret. Basically what we have here is a D18 with D28 fingerboard markers of high voltage.
