Classical or Acoustic Guitar?
Hi Folks, I can not make my mind a chance to learn classical or acoustic music. I'm interested in learning some flamenco and skills to play-and-sing. Will I be under pressure if I hear, both classical or acoustic, or even necessary? Any advice appreciated, thanks! I find it very interesting some of the techniques used in acoustics that I have not seen in the classic, probably due to my limited exposure. Can these be easily picked up as well, with classical training?
Flamenco runs parallel with the Classical Guitar, which both contain many technicial and musical aspects that are almost identical, techniques such as plucking fingers, back of the hand touching etc. These methods are generally not all emerged in the folk / blues / jazz / rock type of game. Classical Flamenco players can learn very quickly, while type a people 'regular sound player techncality really struggle with the Right Hand (chain) technicniques pulling your finger for a considerable time. Any classically trained player can pick up regular Folk Acoustic type songs once you get used to the slightly different progressions used and loosen a bit in terms of playing by ear. The ball is in your court now ...... - Edit - You can pick up the differences of classical training without much effort other than light recycling accuately fingers or adding more supplimental techniques. The same can not be said for classical acoustics. One thing though, classical training is very boring for the first few years, however, boredom is offset potental with a much higher level of overall technical capacity once the period of study and basic school is over.
