I want to see this movie, but only saw a clip of her in the 1995 document The Celluloid Closet?
Does anyone remember The Celluloid Closet? A documentary Inspection of the various Hollywood screen representations of homosexuals and the attitudes behind them throughout the history of American cinema. Showed this clip, its black and white film with a woman dressed in black standing in a burning building and the roof is on fire and you see the ceiling collapsed on her. I know nothing of this film, but it seems an interesting movie. Does anyone know the name?
hmm .. well, the only two I can think of that would been white / black are Maedchen in uniform or on the death of Sister George or something .. I do not remember a scene of burning in Maedchen (I have one) .. so I assume the other .. I have the book (which began as the documentary) .. I double We'll check in a few minutes .. Wow .. I have not thought about that book / film in a while .. lol .. but I think you are describing Rebecca .. (I did not remember that scene, but just looked up and sure enough .. Mrs. Danvers dies in flames ..)
