Why is the U.S. standard of thermal energy, BTU, British Thermal Unit means?
I need some of the direct reasons, as my teacher asked me in my class.
This unit is now old and outdated. Since the introduction of the Systeme International 30 years ago (meters), all prehistoric and hard drives have been discarded. BTU is now called kW (kilowatts) in the modern world. There is only one conceivable reason for why the U.S. still insists on using the outdated imperial system - costs too much in return. Interestingly, many countries changed from Imperial to Metric 30 years ago.
